AAA Editor Notes
Discovery Place Science, 301 N. Tryon St., is designed to enhance visitors' perceptions of science and technology via hands-on experiences. Multidimensional exhibits uncover the wonders of science, nature, math and technology, and online, audio, video and graphic components are used to stimulate discussion about contemporary topics. Other exhibits allow both kids and adults to experiment with forces controlled by the laws of physics and chemistry. The natural world is represented by a living rain forest, live species and an aquarium.
Legendary characters come to life in Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes. Here visitors can view such artifacts as real costumes worn in the films by Black Panther, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel. Interactive exhibits feature Marvel's 80 years of history and include such items as concept sketches, props from the movies and character statues perfect for selfies.
Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
