Canada's Sports Hall of Fame is at 169 Canada Olympic Rd. S.W., at Canada Olympic Park. The facility highlights the inspiring achievements of more than 650 Hall of Famers. Twelve interactive galleries—including the Motion, Bounce and Olympic & Paralympic galleries—house exhibits relating to 67 different sports, such as hockey, baseball, figure skating, horse racing, downhill and cross-country skiing, curling and football.
Visitors to the hall of fame are greeted by a sculpture of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky. In the 120-seat Riddell Family Theatre, an 11-minute film featuring rare Olympic footage about Canadian athletes over the years is shown every half-hour. There are more than 2,000 items on display including the #1 1988 Olympic Winter Games Calgary relay torch and over 30 Olympic and Paralympic Games torches dating back to the 1930s. The Women in Sport Gallery showcases the amazing contributions of many of Canada's elite female athletes and builders, including Cassie Campbell-Pascall, Chandra Crawford and Senator Chantal Petitclerc.
Interactive displays include ski jumping, shadow-boxing, rowing and wheelchair racing. Videos of awe-inspiring moments in sports history are sure to get visitors' hearts pounding as well.
