AAA Editor Notes
Royal Alberta Museum is at 9810 103a Ave. N.W. Fresh from a $375.5-million renovation in 2018, Alberta's natural and human history museum houses a permanent collection in three main galleries, in addition to a children's gallery with hands-on play areas, a bug gallery with spiders and other invertebrates, and a feature gallery with changing exhibits.

The Human History hall on the first floor tells the story of Alberta's people through artifacts, displays and multimedia about early Indigenous inhabitants, European settlers, cowboys, pioneers and revolutionary figures in the province's history. The second floor Natural History hall showcases animals and plants from the Ice Age and beyond with dioramas, fossils and life-size skeletons of mastodons, mammoths and rare prehistoric beasts.
