Alaska Native Heritage Center is about 3 mi. e. on Glenn Hwy. to N. Muldoon Rd. exit, then 1 mi. e. on Heritage Center Dr. Situated on 26 wooded acres, the center presents information about the regional, Alaska Native groups that inhabit Alaska: the Aleut and Alutiiq; Athabascan; Eyak, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian; Inupiaq and St. Lawrence Island Yup'ik; and Yup'ik and Cup'ik cultures.

The main building offers the Gathering Place for storytelling, Alaska Natives dance and games and musical performances as well as a theater for cultural films. The Hall of Cultures exhibit is divided into five areas with changing multimedia displays about the ways of life of Alaska Natives cultures. Artisans create and display their crafts in adjacent studios.

Outside, five village sites surround Lake Tiulana, and guided village site tours are available to explain each dwelling, aspects of daily life and customs.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
