AAA Inspector Notes
Located just north of Auburn University campus, this Victorian home offers attractive rooms with many original features, including claw-foot tubs, tiled inactive fireplaces, and bead board ceilings. Each morning your innkeepers prepare a full home-cooked breakfast. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Crenshaw Guest House was built and designed by Dr. Bolling Hall Crenshaw, a mathematician who taught at Alabama Polytechnic Institute before it became Auburn University. Living here with his wife and two daughters, they eventually offered some rooms to host university students. The home continued to be a residence and boarding house for another 40 or 50 years. It has been a bed and breakfast since 1985. Smoke free premises. 8 units, some two bedrooms and cottages. 1 story, interior/exterior corridors.
