Kelly Ingram Park

Kelly Ingram Park, part of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, is bordered by 16th and 17th sts. N. and 5th and 6th aves. N. Statues depict the struggles encountered by demonstrators at this 4-acre site where major civil rights demonstrations occurred in the 1960s. Statues include “Four Spirits,” “The Children's March” and “Praying Ministers.” A self-guiding cellphone tour is available.
