Jesse Owens Memorial Park and Museum is at 7019 CR 203. At the 1936 Olympic games in Nazi-era Berlin, this African-American track star won four gold medals. The museum depicts Owens' athletic and humanitarian achievements through interactive video exhibits, rare film footage and memorabilia. The park features a replica of Owens' Alabama boyhood home, an 8-foot bronze sculpture of the Olympian, a replica of the 1936 broad jump pit, a 1936 Olympic torch, two baseball fields and a playground.

Picnicking is permitted.

Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 1-4. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour minimum.
