U.S. Space and Rocket Center, One Tranquility Base just off I-565, is an exposition center featuring one of the world's largest collections of space and rocket hardware. Interactive exhibits simulate the experience of space flight, including travel aboard the International Space Station.

Attractions include the restored Saturn V moon rocket, Mission to Mars climbing wall, Space Shot, Kids' Cosmos, National Geographic Theater, G-Force accelerator and Spacedome IMAX Theater. The Rocket Park and Shuttle Park display NASA rockets and Army defense missiles, including a full-scale shuttle exhibit. On display in Shuttle Park is the orbiter Pathfinder, which includes two solid rocket boosters, main engine nozzles and an external tank as well as a T-30 supersonic jet. The Space Camp and Aviation Challenge program facilities adjoin the museum property.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
