Historic Blakeley State Park is 1.2 mi. w. on US 31, 1.2 mi. n. on Blakeley Way, then 3.2 mi. n. to 34745 SR 225. This 3,800-acre site was the scene of the last major battle of the Civil War; the engagement ended hours after the surrender by Gen. Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Courthouse in Virginia, April 9, 1865. Civil War living history and battle reenactments are held periodically.

More than 10 miles of nature trails are offered. Bicycling, camping, fishing, hiking and horseback riding are permitted.

Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted.
