AAA Editor Notes
Alaskaland Pioneer Air Museum, in Pioneer Park at 2300 Airport Way, is housed in a gold-domed building and offers an aeronautical collection consisting of 14 intact aircraft, including a Stinson SR-5 Junior and a UH-1 Iroquois “Huey” helicopter, as well as a variety of recovered plane wrecks. A large assortment of flight records, newspaper articles, pilot manuscripts and some 500 photographs details the history of solo aviators, early flight and selected airlines. Such items as engines, propellers, model aircraft and memorabilia also are displayed.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
