Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is at 600 Museum Way. Housed in a Moshe Safdie-designed building, the museum's galleries hold an impressive collection of American art from Colonial times and the 19th century to the present. Highlights include Asher B. Durand's “Kindred Spirits,” Maxfield Parrish's “The Lantern Bearers,” Norman Rockwell's “Rosie the Riveter,” Mark Rothko's “No. 210/No. 211 (Orange)” and Andy Warhol's “Dolly Parton.” The building is also impressive; its eight modern pavilions surround two ponds and feature tall glass windows and curvaceous ceilings made of copper and Arkansas white pine beams.

The museum's 120 acres of picturesque Ozark countryside have more than 3.5 miles of trails highlighted by sculptures and gardens through which visitors may stroll or ride bicycles and participate in educational activities. Temporary exhibits and outdoor events take place throughout the year. A research library also is available.

Audio tours are available.

Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
