The Peel Mansion Museum & Heritage Gardens is at 400 S. Walton Blvd. Col. Samuel West Peel, a pioneer businessman, Native American agent, Confederate soldier, and congressman, built this Italianate mansion in 1875. He and his wife, Mary Emaline Berry Peel, raised nine children here. The house is furnished in period. A garden comprising historic roses, perennials and native plants also is on site. The mansion is available for viewing by guided and self-guiding tours.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
