AAA Editor Notes
Brownlee House is on the grounds of Historic Arkansas Museum at 200 E. 3rd St. The house was built in the 1840s by Scottish stonemason Robert Brownlee for his brother, James. The builder recuperated in the house from a mining accident before leaving for the California gold rush. The marbleized mantels are of particular interest.
