AAA Editor Notes
Woodruff Print Shop is on the grounds of Historic Arkansas Museum at 200 E. 3rd St. The site includes a house built in 1824 by William E. Woodruff, founder of the Arkansas Gazette, the oldest newspaper west of the Mississippi River. A reconstructed 1820s print shop includes original furniture and a replica of the press Woodruff rafted up the Arkansas River.

Museum Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 1-5. Historic grounds Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 1-4. Tours of the grounds are given Mon.-Tues. 10-4 on the hour. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
