Palatki Ruins and Red Cliffs Rock Art Site is 9 mi. s. on SR 89A, then 8 mi. n. via FRs 525 and 795 (dirt roads), following signs. Pictographs dating from the Archaic period of Native American culture are preserved in rock alcoves. It is believed that nearby cliff dwellings were occupied A.D. 1100-1300 by the Southern Sinagua people. Docents are available on site.

Note: Sites are reached via walking trails; comfortable shoes are recommended. Parking is limited.

Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
