The Eye of the Wind

The Eye of the Wind is on top of Grouse Mountain at 6400 Nancy Greene Way. This 65-metre (215 ft.) wind turbine on the mountaintop is reportedly the only one in the world that allows you to stand in a glass “viewPOD” at the top of the tower (just 10 feet from its massive, rotating blades), giving an awe-inspiring 360-degree view of Vancouver, the harbor, the Coastal Mountains and, on a clear day, mounts Baker, Rainier and Garibaldi. The turbine provides about 20 percent of Grouse Mountain's energy requirement.
