AAA Editor Notes
Old Hastings Mill Store Museum is at 1575 Alma St. in Hastings Mill Park. The store was constructed to serve the early Vancouver sawmilling community of Stamp’s Mill, and is Vancouver's oldest building, circa 1865. On June 13, 1886, it was one of the few buildings to withstand the ravages of the Great Vancouver Fire. Facing demolition in 1930, it was barged to its present site in the Point Grey neighborhood and converted to a museum. Among its varied displays are relics of early Vancouver pioneers, an extensive collection of First Nation native basketry and tools and a well-preserved Hansom cab.
