Beacon Hill Park is at Douglas and Dallas sts. The 81-hectare (200-acre) park features attractive flowerbeds, small lakes, shaded walking paths, playing fields, a totem pole carved by Chief Mungo Martin, lawns that slope to the sea and the Mile Zero marker of the Trans-Canada Highway. A children’s petting zoo, two playgrounds, seasonal water play areas and plenty of wandering geese (and a few peacocks) will keep young visitors occupied. A free summer concert series is held at the Cameron Bandshell.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted.
