Quesnel & District Museum and Archives is .7 km (.5 mi.) s. on Hwy. 97 at 705 Carson Ave. Marking the area's history from the days of Alexander Mackenzie's explorations and the 1862 gold rush, the museum includes exhibits about pioneer life, a hands-on area for children, items from the Titanic, Chinese artifacts from the gold rush, a doll that is said to be haunted and an archives.
