AAA Editor Notes
Henry Miller Library is at 48603 SR 1. The library is in the former home of author Henry Miller's longtime friend, Emil White, in a meadow surrounded by redwood trees. Miller, a Big Sur resident 1944-62, wrote several works while living along the rugged Pacific coast. The library staff serve as docents, showing visitors Miller's works, a collection of his artwork and videos about the writer.

Diverse musical artists from Philip Glass to Arcade Fire and Patti Smith have performed here. A full schedule of workshops and art exhibitions take place on the library's grounds.
