Folsom History Museum, downtown at 823 Sutter St., is in a reconstruction of the former Wells Fargo & Co. assay office and bank. The museum features exhibits about the gold rush, mining camps, the area's Native Americans and Chinese immigrants, the railroad, Folsom Prison and the Folsom Powerhouse. Changing exhibits also are scheduled throughout the year.
