General Grant and Redwood Mountain Groves are in Kings Canyon. The General Grant Tree, one of the largest of known sequoias, stands in Grant Grove. It is more than 268 feet high and has a base circumference of approximately 107.5 feet. Big Stump Basin, the result of early logging operations, is nearby. Hart Tree, another large sequoia, stands in Redwood Mountain Grove.
