Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is at 555 W. Temple St. This 2002 angular, modernist cathedral, seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, was designed by Spanish architect Jose Rafael Moneo and is 12 stories high. Notable features are the cathedral's 20-foot-high “Great Bronze Doors” and the five-stories-high pipe organ that has 6,019 wooden and metal pipes.
