California Museum is at 1020 O St. in Archives Plaza, 1 blk. s. of the State Capitol. Permanent exhibits showcase the state's historical, artistic and cultural legacy. California's Remarkable Women chronicles the impact women from various walks of life have made on the state. California Indians: The First People represents more than 150 tribes, while Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII addresses civil rights, detainment and redress. The California Hall of Fame exhibit changes to showcase personal items pertaining to the year's inductees as well as their significant contributions to history.
