Balboa Park Visitors Center-House of Hospitality

Balboa Park Visitors Center-House of Hospitality is at 1549 El Prado, in the center of Balboa Park. This Spanish Renaissance-style building was constructed for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition. The visitors center offers maps and brochures as well as information about the park's attractions and special events. An excellent way to get an overview of the park and its attractions is via a 90-minute self-guiding audio tour; both an adult and a children’s version are available for purchase. Free guided tours also can be arranged at the center. Schedules for the walking trips, which cover such topics as architecture, history and horticulture, vary.
