AAA/Thuyvi Gates
AAA Editor Notes
Transamerica Pyramid is at 600 Montgomery St. Completed in 1972, this 48-story skyscraper is the city's most iconic due to its four-sided, needle-like pyramidal shape. The spire makes up the top 212 feet. The exterior is covered with crushed quartz, giving the building its bright white color.

Relax on one of the benches at adjacent Transamerica Redwood Park, where redwood trees (tall, but still dwarfed by the pyramid) offer shade and greenery, and a frog sculpture fountain provides a soothing backdrop of cascading water. This is a favorite spot for stressed-out office workers to retreat and grab a few quiet moments.
