Central Coast Veterans' Memorial Museum

Central Coast Veterans' Memorial Museum is in the lower level of San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Hall at 801 Grand Ave. From World War I through Iraq II and Afghanistan, exhibits are arranged around large wall maps of major battles. Each map is surrounded by uniforms, firearms, battlefield equipment, photos, aircraft and ship models, medals, propaganda posters, flags and letters home from service persons. Also displayed is an armory, a large collection of military patches and a Wall of Honor lined with plaques honoring local veterans. A military research library is on the premises.
