Santa Barbara Maritime Museum is at 113 Harbor Way on the waterfront in Santa Barbara Harbor. The exhibits tell the story of man’s involvement with the sea, from early voyages of discovery through whaling and fishing to underwater exploration. The attractions include historical ship models as well as children's interactive hands-on exhibits. Of interest is the first-order Fresnel lens from the Point Conception Lighthouse. The Munger Theater shows five informative films daily. Outside exhibits include the Purisima Diving Bell and a 45-foot sport-fishing boat built in 1917.
