AAA Editor Notes
Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum is at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd. (US 50). Exhibits trace the Lake Tahoe basin's history from the days of Native American habitation to the present. Displays feature westward expansion, the gold and silver rushes, Pony Express stations, the logging and railroad eras and the development of the ski industry.

Behind the museum is a 1931 log cabin and Osgood's Toll House, a building dating to 1859.
