The Nethercutt Collection and Nethercutt Museum

The Nethercutt Collection and Nethercutt Museum are in two buildings at 15151 and 15200 Bledsoe St. Believing that all types of beauty should be enjoyed and preserved, J.B. Nethercutt, co-founder of Merle Norman Cosmetics, and his wife Dorothy surrounded themselves with beautiful functional objects and constructed two special buildings to house them.
The collection includes 250 antique and classic luxury automobiles, of which 200 are on exhibit; a large collection of mechanical musical instruments, ranging from music boxes to a 5,000-pipe Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ; Louis XV furniture, Boehm porcelains and pieces of fine arts. All the pieces of the collection are in superb condition. A restored 1937 Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson steam locomotive and 1912 private Pullman car are on the grounds.
The collection, housed across the street from the museum, is accessible only by a 2-hour guided tour.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
