Electric Tour Company departs from the paved area behind the band shell in the Music Concourse for Golden Gate Park tours. After a beginning 40-minute training session, visitors embark on a Segway for a narrated, 8-mile tour that explores the eastern half of the park. Stops include the Japanese Tea Garden, The Conservatory of Flowers, the National AIDS Memorial Grove and Stow Lake, plus numerous stops for photos. It's a fun way to see park highlights without doing all that walking. Other tours in other neighborhoods also are offered.
Guests must weigh between 100 and 250 pounds. The tour is not recommended for those over age 70 or who have mobility challenges. Under age 12 and pregnant guests are not permitted. Tours are subject to a minimum of four participants.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 2 hours, 30 minutes minimum.
