Jack London State Historic Park is 1 mi. w. on London Ranch Rd. Within the 1,400-acre park is the author's former ranch as well as his grave. The two-story museum, House of Happy Walls, contains London's personal papers and belongings. Mementos of his travels include South Pacific art objects. The burned ruins of Wolf House, the 26-room mansion London had built but never lived in, are nearby. The original cottage, where he died in 1916, contains period furnishings.

Off-road vehicles are not permitted. Leashed dogs are permitted in historic area only.

Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
