Exemplifying Bauhaus-style architecture, this property has a unique history. I particularly like the outdoor sculptures set against mountain views.
AAA Inspector Notes
Designed by the famous Bauhaus architect, Herbert Bayer, the buildings of this resort and the incorporated Aspen Institute reflect the best design elements of the era. Spacious guest rooms have been updated but include some elements reminiscent of the 1950s, such as a modern-style chair. Updates include a bedding package with duvets, flat-screen TVs and stone vanities. Guests can enjoy modern art sculptures and mountain views. Forty acres of attractive grounds give the resort a retreat-like ambiance.
Smoke free premises. 98 units, some two bedrooms. 2 stories (no elevator), interior/exterior corridors.
