AAA Inspector Notes
This restored 1889 hotel features elegant public areas decorated with museum-quality paintings, tastefully restored antiques and distinct custom light fixtures. Different public areas appeal to varying moods. Meeting spaces feature natural light and neutral décor, perfect for weddings. Dark wood and dim lighting create a cozy bar area, perfect for après-ski or a romantic start to the evening. The richly decorated rooms tastefully blend contemporary style with Western character. The details stand out: a dresser made to look like a steamer trunk, leather bed frames, wall-mounted TVs enhanced with a Victorian-style picture frame, and a live plant in the bathroom. On summer evenings, Aspen Music Festival students play chamber music for guests' enjoyment. The outdoor pool and hot tubs are surrounded by flowers and offer a mountain view. Eat in one of the oldest restaurants in Aspen at this hotel.
Smoke free premises. 99 units. 3-4 stories, interior corridors.
