Kit Carson County Carousel

Kit Carson County Carousel is off I-70 exit 437, following signs to Kit Carson County Fairgrounds. Forty-six carved animals adorn the restored 1905 carousel. Visitors may choose from a lion, giraffe, camel or other whimsical creatures for a nostalgic ride, accompanied by music from a Wurlitzer band organ. A museum offers a historical perspective, from the early years of the Philadelphia Toboggan Co. to how carousel animals are crafted.
