Peterson Air and Space Museum

Peterson Air and Space Museum, 7 mi. e. on US 24 (use the west gate into Peterson AFB) to 150 E. Ent Ave., has exhibits about North American air defense, Colorado Springs’ aviation heritage and the missions of the Air Force Space Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). Displays include 22 historic aircraft and missiles. Museum tours begin in the Colorado Springs Municipal Airport historic district terminal at Peterson Air Force Base.

Note: Visitor passes are required for those without a military or Department of Defense ID. Visitors must provide full names of visitors ages 18+, driver's license number and dates of birth. This information is required at least 24 hours prior to arrival; for foreign citizens, information is required 48 hours prior to visit. Those driving on the base must have a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration and proof of insurance to enter. Base security levels may fluctuate; phone ahead for updates. Photo ID is required for all adults.
