AAA Editor Notes
Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, 1201 Bannock St., features an extensive decorative arts collection, including examples from the Arts & Crafts movement through the postmodern period. Works by Colorado painters, ceramists, sculptors and furniture designers as well as works by painter Vance Kirkland also are featured, and range from traditional/realist to abstract. The 38,500-square-foot building has 18 display areas, with some 4,400 works on view, and includes the 1910-11 Arts and Crafts-style building that once housed Kirkland's studio and art school.
