The Center for Colorado Women's History at the Byers-Evans House Museum

AAA Editor Notes
The Center for Colorado Women's History at the Byers-Evans House Museum, near Civic Center Park at 1310 Bannock St., reflects the character of two important Denver families. Rocky Mountain News publisher William Byers built the home in 1883 and sold it in 1889 to William Gray Evans, a transportation executive.

The elegant two-story Victorian house is restored to reflect the years 1912-24; it contains original Evans family furnishings. The tour focuses on life in early Denver and the stories of the inspiring women who lived in the house. The programs and exhibits highlight topics in Colorado women's history.

Note: The interior of the house can be seen only by guided tour; self-guiding tours are not available.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
