Golden History Park is 1 blk. w. of Washington Ave. at 1020 11th St. Costumed interpreters depict 19th-century Colorado pioneer life in living history demonstrations, including presentations about foods grown by the pioneers. Historic buildings, originally homesteaded in a nearby canyon, include 1870s cabins, a blacksmith shop and an 1876 one-room schoolhouse. Several heritage gardens include heirloom chickens and a working bee hive.
