Standing at the base of the grand staircase, I can't help but marvel at the beauty and craftsmanship of yesteryear.
AAA Inspector Notes
Built in 1886, this iconic brick building is an architectural delight. Carved wood accents, elaborate wallpaper, and antiques characterize the charming public areas. The room décor maintains the historic character of the building while providing modern amenities. The renovation of this building won the Presidential Award for Historic Preservation in 2003. During the remodeling, the company that made the original wallpaper was still in business and created replicas of the same designs originally used for the hotel.
Smoke free premises. 13 units, some two bedrooms and efficiencies. 3 stories, interior corridors.
