Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History

Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History is at 170 Whitney Ave. at Sachem St.; visitor parking is 1 blk. n. at the s. end of Yale lot No. 22. The museum features fossils of dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals, dioramas of North American habitat groups and birds of Connecticut and collections devoted to the Pacific Islands, the Plains Indians, ancient Egypt and Central and South America. A 70-minute audio tour provides an inside look at some of the exhibits.

NOTE: The museum is closed for renovations and is scheduled to reopen in 2024.
