Connecticut State Library and Supreme Court Building faces the Capitol grounds on the s. end. at 231 Capitol Ave. Within the building is the Museum of Connecticut History, which contains portraits of governors, an extensive Colt firearms collection and historic items. The library's archives/secured collections research area contains genealogy records.
