National Museum of the Marine Corps is adjacent to the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Triangle, just off I-95. The building's stunning design captivates visitors as they enter by way of the Leatherneck Gallery, where aircraft—including a restored SBD Dauntless dive bomber from World War II and a Vietnam-era Sikorsky UH-34D helicopter—hang from the ceiling. Adjacent to the gallery, the Legacy Walk contains a timeline and leads to areas depicting various actions in which the Marines have been involved.

Visitors learn about Marines in boot camp, World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Also discussed is the role of the Marines in the global war on terrorism.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
