Rock Creek Cemetery is at jct. Rock Creek Church Rd. and Webster St. N.W.; the rear entrance is at 201 Allison St. N.W. Established in 1719, this is Washington's oldest cemetery. Also on the grounds is St. Paul's Episcopal Church, opened in 1712, which is the District's oldest Colonial-era church. One of the best-known memorials is the Adams Memorial, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Others are the Ffoulke memorial “Rabboni” by Gutzon Borglum and the Boardman memorial “Journey of Life” by James Earle Fraser.
