Seaside Nature Center, 1 mi. e. on US 9 past Cape May-Lewes Ferry to Cape Henlopen State Park, has several large fish aquariums, touch tanks, live snakes and turtles, and an exhibit about the park's natural habitats. The Seaside Interpretive Trail, a self-guiding tour of the natural and human history of Cape Henlopen, leads from the center to Delaware Bay. Naturalist-led programs are offered, and guided kayak tours and rentals are available during summer months. Historic Fort Miles features guided battery tours and programs, a gun park, observation tower and several buildings.
Grills and tables are available for picnicking.
