Halifax Historical Society Museum

Halifax Historical Society Museum is 2 blks. s. of US 92 at 252 S. Beach St. Housed in the restored 1910 Merchants Bank building, the museum's displays of artifacts detail local history. Of special interest are Native American artifacts, a scale model of the 1938 boardwalk, a racing exhibit and the War Room. Grandma's Attic is an exhibit of vintage toys, children's clothing and memorabilia dating to the early 1900s. A 20-minute film covers 130,000 years of area history, from prehistoric times to the present.
