AAA Editor Notes
Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 S.W. Second St., is a hands-on science museum with more than 200 interactive exhibits, including Living in the Everglades and the EcoDiscovery Center, which features the Otters at Play habitat with four North American otters, simulated rides aboard an airboat, prehistoric animal exhibits and the Keller Science Theater. Florida Ecoscapes, focusing on the state's ecology, has sea turtles, bats, snakes, sharks, alligators and a large captive Atlantic coral reef. To Fly features aviation science exhibits, a simulated flight to Mars and an Aviation Station with nine cockpit flight simulators and a 7-D simulator.

The 300-seat AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater offers classic 45-minute films and full-length feature films. The Science Park features a dozen outdoor activities.

Entertaining live science-related programs are offered daily in the Keller Science Theater. Other exhibits cover such topics as health, sound, gravity and technology. National traveling exhibits are featured quarterly.
