The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens/Mick Hales
AAA Editor Notes
Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, 829 Riverside Ave., offers more than 5,000 objects in its permanent collection and three historic gardens along the St. Johns River built by pioneering landscape architects of the early 20th century. World-class art spanning from 2100 B.C. through the 21st century includes such masterworks as paintings by Thomas Moran, Norman Rockwell, Winslow Homer, Agnolo Gaddi and Lucas Cranach the Elder. Also of interest is a significant collection of 18th-century Meissen porcelain.

Art Connections, the museum’s interactive education gallery, provides multi-sensory opportunities for visitors to look more closely at art, explore the museum’s collection more deeply, and apply their own creativity by creating artwork of their own. Traveling exhibitions complement the permanent collection.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
