AAA Editor Notes
Crane Point Hammock Museum and Nature Center, gulfside at mile marker 50.5, is a historic site. The natural history museum features models of marine life, animals and birds in naturalistic settings. Of interest to children are the touch tanks, honeybee display, a shell collection and a model ship's deck. Also on the site are a butterfly meadow, nature trails, a saltwater lagoon, an early Bahamian homestead and the Marathon Wild Bird Center, a rehabilitation facility for injured birds.

A guided trolley tour is available. Guided kayak and paddleboard tours are offered by reservation.
