AAA Inspector Notes
Just a few steps from the beach and the Lincoln Road Mall, this adult-only hotel features stylized décor elements reflecting the hotel's origins, when it served as an escape haven for celebrities. Opened in 1939, this hotel has remained one of the most frequented lodgings in the area. The expansive lobby features the original terrazzo floors that will take you back to that late 1930s era. The rear of the hotel supplies a striking beauty due in large part to the longest lap pool in South Florida and infinity pools. There also are hammocks and a bar just before you exit the gate to the beach. Choose to stay in the tower or in the cabana wing, which was built in the 1960s. The tower rooms vary in size, with the corner rooms offering the most space, but all are appointed with upscale décor. The cabana rooms are situated along the pool and represent a more spacious comfort with a furnished balcony. The pool and fitness room are open 24 hours a day. Jazz music is featured nightly in the lobby bar.
Smoke free premises. 152 units. 4-11 stories, interior corridors.
